The paid-subscriber version of The Sharpener includes weekly installments of craft pieces, approaches to writing problems, topics in contemporary publishing for writers, and biographical features on poets I consider important.
Micha Hamel's opening line "10,000 beers ago I told my" is killer and then it just gets better and better. Who is this Dutch poet? I had no idea, but am going to find out! So many quotable lines in his Mammoth and a poem to help us all smile a bit as the wave of the apocalypse crests over our heads. The range of inspiration and mood that these 5 poets found in the mammoth is amazing, is inspiring! The octopi will be taking over the planet soon, sure, but I'm going to keep reading the Sharpener until then. Thanks Sean!
Morning delight, thank you, Sean.
