Today I’m announcing a new addition to my Substack newsletter: The Sharpener live chat.
This is a conversation space exclusively for paid subscribers—like a group chat or live hangout. I’ll post your questions, and you can jump into the discussion.
The live chat will be an opportunity to ask anything about poetry: publishing, craft, or practice.
I can offer advice if you’re stuck, give literary fixes, make reading suggestions, help you navigate contests and magazines, or whatever else you’d like to talk about.
This will take place this Friday, September 27, from 10-11:30 AM Eastern Standard Time.
How to join the live chat:
Get the Substack app by clicking this link or the button below. New chat threads won’t be sent sent via email, so turn on push notifications so you don’t miss conversation as it happens. You can also access chat on the web.
Open the app and tap the Chat icon. It looks like two bubbles in the bottom bar, and you’ll see a row for my chat inside.
That’s it! Jump into my thread to say hello, and if you have any issues, check out Substack’s FAQ [Frequently Asked Questions].
Subscribe if you would like to participate in the chat (plus weekly essays on craft and writing problems):
