Yosa Buson (tr. from Japanese by R.H. Blythe):
I’ve been overwhelmed by the response to my survey about Guided Poetry Reading Groups. The responses confirm what I thought— that there’s a real need for reading groups that can build community and decrease isolation, through curation, commitment, and connection.Â
I’m going to keep the survey open for another week, so if you haven’t yet had a chance, please do fill out the survey.Â
There’s more information about the reading groups in the survey, or in my email from Thursday, July 21.
I expect to launch the first groups in September. I’ll reach out by email well in advance, so that Sharpener subscribers have earliest access to registration.
As a thank you for your time and care, I’m offering a free 30-minute call or Zoom consult with me. This time is yours: you can use it to discuss your poems, talk about professional development, ask questions, talk about what you're reading, or anything else. When you complete the survey, I’ll send you a link where you can schedule a time to talk.
