The paid-subscriber version of The Sharpener includes craft pieces on craft, writing problems, information about professional literacy and labor issues for writers, and detailed citations and analyses of the poems I’m reading.
What an interesting juxtaposition of poems--the wild, free, loose Coleman poem (albeit with a strong note of worrisome reality intruding in), the Grand Canyon of a poem by Garrigue with its dense strata and striations of image and sound (reminds me of Ted Hughes’ “Wind”), and Camp’s airy love song.
Thank you for another wonderful submission chock full of strange language and tactile impressions to ponder.
