What I like most about Sheck is that she is a serious human being, someone making a real and genuine effort to understand our shared human dilemma called life. For me, that should be everyone's purpose, whether writing poetry, driving a cab or simply walking down a sidewalk looking at your local neighborhood trees, life then as we know it here for the taking. Sheck's outlook is a recognition of that, healthy and introspective, keeping a light shined upon a sometimes perceived darkness.
